Heart of the High Country Realty offers cabins and homes for rent located in Watauga and Ashe counties in the High Country of North Carolina. We are located in beautiful downtown historic Todd, just 12 miles from Boone and West Jefferson.

Our newest rental, River Walk, is located overlooking the New River just a short walk from historic downtown Todd. This is a fabulous property, nearly new construction, with easy access to hiking, biking, fishing and all the outdoor activities that make the High Country a premier vacation destination. The cabin is only a few years old and features all the amenities you are looking for in a mountain cabin.

There are many things to do throughout the High Country of North Carolina. Tweetie Railroad, one of North Carolina’s oldest outdoor theme parks is in nearby Blowing Rock, four ski resorts are within an hour’s drive, Appalachian State University is within five miles and the historic New River winds its way through Ashe and Watauga counties, offering an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities including kayaking, fly fishing and canoeing.
